Dr. Bruce Nelson earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Bates College, a Master’s degree in Oceanography – Maine State University in Orono and a PhD in Biological Sciences (Botany) from the National Institute for Amazon Research (INPA). He is currently a full researcher at the National Institute for Amazon Research (INPA) and a professor in the graduate programs in Ecology and Forest Sciences at INPA
