Elsa Esquivel Bazán is a graduate of the Universidad Autónoma Chapingo with a degree in Agroecology and a Master’s degree in Environment and Integrated Development from CIIEMAD-IPN.
She is a founding partner of AMBIO, which is 25 years old. Her experience is focused on the management, development and implementation of local strategies for mitigation and adaptation to climate change, under an integral development perspective and with a gender perspective. Since 1997, she has participated in the development and implementation of the Scolel’te program, the longest-running international program for the sale of carbon credits from the forestry sector under the Plan Vivo standard, which she currently represents in Mexico.
