Luis Augusto Briceño Jara, Peruvian born in Huanuco and accountant by profession, was General Manager of the Regional Government of Huanuco (2019-2020) and of the Regional Government of Ucayali (2015-2018). He is currently the Executive Director of the Amazon Regional Commonwealth, which integrates the regions of Amazonas, Huanuco, Loreto, Madre de Dios, San Martin and Ucayali. Luis Briceño has extensive experience in Public Management, mainly in Strategic Planning and Sustainable Development. He worked with the technical team that designed the Low Emission Rural Development Strategies in Huanuco and accompanied the sensitization process to achieve approval in 2023. Currently, he promotes the design of policies on Sustainable and Inclusive Development in the Amazon from the Amazon Regional Commonwealth with the strategic support of allies such as the GCF Task Force, the Earth Innovation Institute and the Tropical Forest Alliance.
